About
Chris First is a creative technologist specializing in generative AI. He stress-tests the newest AI creative tools and reports on releases across the space — through deep dives, workflow breakdowns, and viral AI content.
His path started behind a camera. As a photographer and videographer he shot for some of the biggest names in music, sport, and media — and as a lifelong tech obsessive, he found in generative AI the perfect collision of his two passions.

He went on to build one of the largest and most active AI communities on X — 250,000 members — running weekly creator challenges, hosting live conversations with AI filmmakers, and partnering with AI companies around the world: over $80,000 in cash prizes awarded through AI video competitions and over $100,000 in tool access distributed to creators in a single year.
Today, Chris works with leading AI companies as a creator, advisor, and speaker — helping them launch products, build creator programs, and connect with the communities that use their tools.
